C# ASP.NET Web Developer

Job Description

Experienced C# .NET developer with strong OOP and T-SQL skills required to develop Web based applications.

You should have a minimum of 3-4 years of commercial experience programming with C# .NET in ASP.NET and WinForms application development with SQL Server database skills. You will be joining a team of 4 experienced developers with the primary focus being on the development of new, or redevelopment of existing, products with some support of legacy system also required.

You will be joining a well established (11+ years) secure company which has two core areas of business; development of quality, bespoke, interactive web sites for the retail automotive trade and selling advertising to car dealers on our high traffic web site. This is a great opportunity to join a fun, growing company at an extremely exciting time, learning and developing along side our existing, very experienced developers while have the chance to really have some impact and involvement directly in the development of the products and services that benefit our customers.

Skills

Required

3-4 years C# .NET 3.5
Strong OOP skills and understanding of N-Tier architecture
Experience in consuming and creating Web Services
Strong SQL Server 2000/2005 coding T-SQL Stored Procedures, Triggers, Jobs along with SSIS
Source Control e.g. Source Safe / Source Vault etc
Ability to hand code HTML/XHTML, CSS and JavaScript
Full development life cycle experience with a good understanding of the wider implications of software design from a business perspective.

Exposure to Classic ASP/VBScript
SEO and PPC Experience
Test Driven development
NHibernate and NHibernate Profiler (or other ORM tools)
Unit testing
AJAX
SQL Server Reporting Services
Migration of applications/websites from Classic ASP to ASP.NET
JavaScript Libraries (JQuery)
Any experience/interest in the motor trade
